You lucky!!
How many cedar waxwings do you estimate were in your flock? Are they annuals? We have had them three times in 38 years.
Did yours get drunk?
Buck
The back drop to the chapel in my grandchildren’s Christian Academy, Ohio, is a painting of an arbor hosting cedar wax wings.
I invited the children to find out about this unusual painting and write an essay – but even the promise of money has failed to rouse their interest! They are , at least, aware of this charming and colorful bandit.
Stunning! Do you ever participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count? http://www.birdsource.org/gbbc I do off and on. It’s coming up in February. I bet you’d have some great stuff to report!

We only had about 25 this visit. They behaved themselves pretty well but made a mess when flying back and forth over the deck…
